Having a quick look at some information on previous titles, Shadow Warrior 3 is a sequel from past tales, so there’s a sense of continuation at least. It seems you don’t really need to play the others to catch up on the central plot. Even so, there’s enough exposition at the start of the game to show me what’s going on. I’m entering the series with fresh eyes from the third installment.
